In Rwanda the pandemic lockdown restrictions have been far more severe with much harsher consequences for non-compliance that in USA. I hope people will recognize the sanctity of the bond between mother and child, between generations and between community members. I hope they will understand the inestimable value of breath, of community, and that the bond between loved ones cannot be broken even in death, whether death is caused by a genocide or a global pandemic. And I hope people will be moved to care for each other, the way a mother cares for a child.
